FTE: 0.9, Shift: Night, Schedule: 7pm - 7am

Compensation Update: As of 4/21/2024, the pay scale is $21.30 - $29.22 USD.


Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred


Position Summary

The Health Unit Coordinator (HCU) is an excellent opportunity in providing high-quality patient care, monitoring, and mobility. If you are a skilled communicator and love being the focal communication source, this is the job for you.

As an HCU at MultiCare, you will hone your patient care and monitoring skills, nurture your communications development, and collaborate in support of care and delivery of patient services

Responsibilities

  • You will perform receptionist and communications duties
  • Observe telemetry monitoring and recognition of cardiac dysrhythmias
  • Support care delivery and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups
  • You will regularly utilize your independent decision-making capacities and strong interpersonal skills
  • Collaborate with Clinical Director and/or RN for optimal care delivery and patient services

Requirements

  • Completion of an approved Unit Secretary vocational training course or or currently enrolled in clinical education program
  • Previous Patient Care experience (minimum of one (1) year or Equivalent clerical experience (minimum of one (1) year) in a medical setting

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $16.28 - $21.61 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
