This position is within Parent to Parent, a peer support program at Children's Village. Individuals with lived experience (parents/caregivers raising children with disabilities) are encouraged to apply.

Position Summary
The Community Health Worker (CHW) assists individuals to adopt healthy behaviors. The CHW conducts outreach for medical personnel or health organizations to implement programs in the community that promote, maintain and improve individual and community health. The CHW may provide information on available resources, provide social support and informal counseling, and advocate for individuals and community health needs.Requirements
Education:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of health care or social services experience preferred.
Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Completion of Community Health Worker Training Core Competencies Certificate through the Washington State Department of Health within one year of employment required.

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $19.54 - $27.36 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
