Position Summary:

Senior Services Lead is responsible for providing supervision of the Senior Service direct staff and providing the delivery of one or more of Catholic Charities Senior Programs which includes Volunteer Services, Senior Companion, and RSVP in a designated service area within Central Washington. The position is responsible for the Senior Service team providing client intake assessments, identifying client needs for service, inputting client information in the database, connecting trained volunteers with clients, and other deliverables to meet contract and grant requirements. As a Lead, this position will work collaboratively with the Grants and Data Specialist, Volunteer Recruitment Specialist, and lead the Senior Service team.

Responsibilities:

Provide supervision and program oversight of the direct service team for Senior Services

  • Provide individual and team supervision to Senior Service Specialists and Community Outreach Assessor and maintain supervision records
  • Provide onboarding and professional volunteer management training to direct service staff
  • Conduct Annual Employee Evaluations of designated positions
  • Facilitate Senior Services team meetings in collaboration with the Associate Director of Volunteer Services
  • Establish team and individual productivity goals with employees
  • Monitor performance and goal attainment

Deliver quality direct services within one or more Senior Service Program

  • Complete client intakes and conduct in-home client assessments as appropriate to ensure client meets priority population for services within the designated program
  • Respond to service requests from clients, relatives, agencies or community members in a timely manner to match volunteers with service requests
  • Assist with group projects on-site in collaboration with Community Needs Assessor as needed
  • Ensure volunteers accurately complete log for hours of services and mileage
  • Maintain confidentiality according to program and professional standards
  • Maintain continued quality improvement to increase service delivery and ensure client needs are met

Maintain consistent community involvement with community agencies, parishes and other partners

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with local senior services programs
  • Establish relationships with community organizations that are sources of client referrals
  • Collaborate with Volunteer Recruitment Specialist for local presentations at parishes, businesses, or resource fairs to increase public awareness of services available
  • Collaborate with Volunteer Recruitment Specialist for volunteer appreciation activities within the local designated service area

Complete documentation and data collection on all services provided

  • Maintain accurate and appropriate records on clients, volunteers, stations, and services provided according to grant and program requirements
  • Submit personal timesheet, expense requests, and reports in a timely manner
  • Monitor volunteer/client matches to ensure service was provided as requested
  • Provide Grant and Data Specialist information on volunteer hours required for billing

Participate in supervision and lead team meetings

  • Participate in supervision with the Associate Director of Volunteer Services
  • Participate in and lead Senior Services team meetings
  • Participate in an annual performance evaluation according to the agency guidelines and set goals for individual and team performance

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring medium physical exertion, talking and hearing and adequate vision on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 60% of the time.

Non-physical Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelors' Degree in Social Sciences or related field, preferred
  • High School diploma required

Experience

  • 3 years' experience in volunteer management and working with senior and disabled population required, 1 year experience in leadership supervising employees

Special Skills

  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively and facilitate team meetings
  • Ability to relate well with volunteers and clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to travel to locations across Central Washington
  • Strong computer skills, data entry, and knowledge of Microsoft Suite

Licensure, Registration, Certification

  • Valid Washington State driver's license and minimum required liability insurance for WA State
  • Must be deemed insurable as determined by Catholic Charities' liability insurance provider

Employment is conditional upon:
