The Physical Therapist I provide physical therapy services including evaluation, treatment and follow up and documentation using general competencies for inpatient and outpatient children referred to the physical therapy department. Provide supervision for PT aides/assistants and students with specific tasks and/or patients. Provide continuous consultation and education to families. The Physical Therapist I is an entry level position in a Career Advancement Program (CAP).
The Sports Medicine Center at Children's Hospital Colorado leads the region in state-of-the-art treatment for young athletes. Our fully integrated team of sports medicine doctors, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and pediatric specialists delivers care geared exclusively toward growing bodies. Physical therapists on this team are experts in evaluation and treatment of adolescent athletes who are returning to high levels of activity. Clinicians treat in our sports medicine dedicated gyms where patient population is typically aged 12-20 and made up of various operative and non-operative diagnoses specific to the young athlete. Experience in movement analysis, advanced exercise progression, and return to sport decision making for the upper and lower extremity is preferred. Clinicians are also expected to communicate with physicians, parents, coaches, athletic trainers, and performance coaches as needed to maximize rehabilitation opportunities and set expectations for key people involved in the athlete's return. This program has a strong emphasis in evidence-based practice, research initiatives, community outreach and professional growth and collaborates frequently across our six locations. The right fit for our team is a physical therapist who has experience (OCS or SCS preferred) is passionate about sports medicine, works well in a team setting, and is committed to professional development.

Shift Details:
EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or related field of study. Doctorate in PT preferred.
EXPERIENCE - Two years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist strongly preferred; Adolescent sports medicine experience strongly preferred; OCS or SCS preferred; Residency preferred.
CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR
LICENSURE - State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Physical Therapist license; Credentialing must be completed by the Medical Staff Office (MSO) within 3 months of employment

Salary Information
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $78,659.24 to $117,988.86Benefits Information
